We all are aware that the second half of 2008 brought severe financial challenges. The credit crisis, struggling economy and erratic equity markets shook up almost every American household. Based on the fact that it was the worst year for the stock market since 1931, it is fair to assume that it may be the worst financial crisis you’ll experience in your lifetime.
Turning the corner, however, things look much brighter. You’ve probably noticed that even the press is beginning to post positive headlines. Yahoo! Could it be that the New Year’s optimism will turn things around? Probably not on its own, but when you couple the New Year’s positive sentiment with new leadership, a tax cut (now expected to reach $300 billion) and the likelihood that most of the recession is behind us, things sure look better.
